LimitFacts dataset

The full LimitFacts dataset is free: https://api.limitfacts.dev/v1/dataset.json. It uses the same envelope as every other response, with the disclosure. It has no affiliate fields in any build. A CSV form of the same rows is planned. It is not live.

Shape

data holds: licence, licence_url, licence_scope, licensor, attribution, attribution_rule, trademark_notice, schema_version, dataset_version, generated_at, notices, tools and rows.

Each item in tools has: tool_id, vendor, product, category, homepage_url, pricing_url, description, status, last_checked_at, last_changed_at.

Each item in rows is one fact: row_id, tool_id, vendor, product, plan_id, plan, kind (price, limit, usage_price, trial or feature_flag), metric, value, unit, currency, period, billed_annually, per, is_starting_price, hard_limit, status, stale, stale_after_days, source_url, retrieved_at, checked_date, notes.

Current dataset_version, row count and tool count: GET https://api.limitfacts.dev/v1/meta.

Licence and attribution

Data: CC BY 4.0, from the operator of LimitFacts (limitfacts.com). CC BY 4.0 applies only to our selection, arrangement and own words. The facts themselves are free. This licence does not cover vendor facts (prices, limits, plan names and other facts from vendor pages), vendor names and marks, quoted vendor text, or any other third-party content. These are not ours to license, and we claim no rights in them. Vendor facts stay free to read and use, with or without this licence.

Attribute as "LimitFacts (limitfacts.com), captured <date>". For one row, <date> is that row's retrieved_at date. For the whole dataset, <date> is the latest row capture date (the export date only when there are no rows). Attribution applies to our selection, arrangement and own words. It is not a condition on the use of vendor facts.

Vendor names and marks belong to their owners. No endorsement is implied.

Rate limit

60 requests per 60 seconds per client, on every REST route (including /v1/dataset.json) and every MCP tool call.
